Abstract
The article considers the phenomenon of spirituality as a professional trait of the future specialist-culturologist. The main attention is paid to the formation of the professional qualities of the master of cultural studies as the process of the personʼs ascent to spirituality. The meaning of «spirituality» becomes clearer. It is shown that spirituality as the quality of a professional expert in cultural studies is a mixture of constructive and destructive elements, characterized by manifestations of polarizations. The main goal of future is cultural improvement and generated spirituality. The article identifies the place of culture in the formation of the spirituality of the individual in the context of the cultural development of society. In particular, it is shown that the culture of the individual throughout the development of mankind was not formed instantly. The emergence of culture becomes possible only with a developed consciousness. In the context of the cultural development of society, culture is a complex and has gone through several stages: formation, development, transformation. In its most advanced form it acts as a foundation for the perfection of the individual on the path of spirituality. Integration of Ukraine into the modern globalized world, changes occurring in the country during the transition period become like an avalanche. Moreover, experts-culturologists face a task to build themselves as a personality and to build such professional, social and cultural activity that would determine the peculiarities of mutual influence of individual culture and culture of society. Informatization and globalization of society influence the formation of new cultural phenomena of Postmodernism – a specialist in spirituality. Today, we observe devaluation of true spiritual values. Spirituality of the transformed culture in the postmodern era is not a holistic process, but an extensive system where, according to the situation, a person can use a certain type of culture. Culture, identity loses its homogeneity and is characterized by manifestations of polarizations. However, the postmodern epoch is only being formed, so any predictions regarding the development of the professional qualities of a specialist, his spirituality and culture can be the result of further thorough research.
