Społeczno-ekonomiczne korzyści dla użytkowników bibliotek wynikające z korzystania z usług informacyjno-bibliotecznych – zarys teoretyczny

Abstract
The article proposes a refl ection on the role of academic and public libraries in the society and economy. The paper aims to show that the actions of these institutions support the development of various human competences, and thus, contribute to the creation of the information society. As a consequence, they mark their place in the process of building a knowledge-based economy. The author focuses on the social and economic benefi ts that the library and information services user can obtain.
