Bezpieczeństwo socjalne a praca w bibliotece

Abstract
Social security can be considered both in the material and social aspect. Providing the employees with the necessary fi nancial resources and a coherent system of social rights is a major challenge in the current frequently changing economic conditions. The paper explores the sense of security of librarians related to their occupation and the library seen as a social organization. Attention was drawn to the changing conditions of employment, the growing requirements towards the librarians contrasted with the Polish social and economic background. The article is based on the experience of the academic library worker, so most attention was paid to work in that kind of library.
