Z dziejów rejestracji piśmiennictwa polskiego. Przyczynek do historii bibliografii i lokalnej Krakowa i Lwowa

Abstract
Local bibliographies of Cracow and Lviv began in the second decade of the 20th century. With the passage of time their gradual development took place although it was not evenly distributed in time. More intensive development of Cracow’s bibliography dates back to the 1970’s, when systematic work on it was started by the Provincial Public Library in Cracow. In case of Lviv, those were the 1990’s. The analyzed bibliographies use different criteria in the choice and selection of the material. Besides the specifi cations aiming at completeness, we can encounter the selective ones. They are characterized by differentiated methodological solutions in the sphere of the bibliographic description, the structure of the main core, inner ordering, indexes and other elements of the information and auxiliary apparatus.
