СПОСОБИ САМОПРЕЗЕНТАЦІЇ У ВІРТУАЛЬНОМУ КОМУНІКАТИВНОМУ ПРОСТОРІ

Abstract
This article deals with the research of different self-presentation methods and image-modeling methods used by the participants of virtual communicative situations. Special features of the Internet, such as spontaneity of communication, anonymity of the users, as well as an unlimited number of potential participants, provide a free choice of instruments of self-presentation. The main instruments used for the creation of a virtual identity are among others the choice of a nickname, which is one of the first units providing certain information about the author, and the choice of the according style of speech used by the author while communicating with other users. Choosing a certain style of speech and a special nickname, authors already present some information about themselves, their interests and communicative intentions. By means of the analysis of different nicknames we were able to discover common features of nicknames with different lexical and grammatical features. This allowed to divide them into types, namely, nicknames without any obvious sense and semantically loaded nicknames (such as nicknames that show the belonging to a certain group, express the aothir’s position or contain an ironic element). Perspectives of further research lie in the analysis of the instruments and means of selfpresentation in virtual space.
