Sprawozdanie z działalności magistratu miasta Praszki za lata 1922-1925
Journal Title: Rocznik Wieluński - Year 2016, Vol 16, Issue
Abstract
The article presents the source material written by the mayor of Praszka Ignacy Kowalczyk and his town councillors containing the report on the work of Town Hall and Town Council in Praszka in the years 1922-1925. The aforementioned period of time was particularly difficult in the history of Poland because of the recent armed conflict with Bolshevik Russia, the formation of the western border on the river Prosna, the hyperinflation and the monetary reform introduced by Władysław Grabski. All of those circumstances influenced not only the social and economical situation of Praszka citizens, but also the activity of the local authorities. The report shows both the town of Praszka together with its inhabitants and achievements of the authorities in the above-mentioned period of time. The published source material has been retrieved from the archives of the Museum in Praszka.
