Abstract
In addition to his academic career, contacts in the KUL (Catholic University of Lublin) environment, didactic passion and conversational skills with young people, Prof. Fita’s important constituent personality was fulflled in the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Society. In Polish public life it was one of few organizations of “long duration”, the continuity of culture – ideas close to the Professor.
