СТАНОВЛЕННЯ ШКІЛЬНОГО ФІЗИЧНОГО ВИХОВАННЯ В УКРАЇНІ В ПЕРІОД НЕЗАЛЕЖНОСТІ

Abstract
The article reveals the issues of establishment of school physical education on the territory of Ukraine during its independence. The article focuses on recent researches of domestic scientists on the peculiarities of physical education of pupils in general secondary education institutions. The stages of the establishment of school physical education in Ukraine in the late XX - early XXI century are outlined. Four stages have been identified: conceptualization, transformation, stabilization, democratization and national orientation of state educational policy and reform. The features of physical education in each of these stages are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the reforming stage and outlines the key competences provided by the Law of Ukraine “On Education”.
