Stany zagrożenia życia u pacjentów z zaawansowaną chorobą nowotworową

Abstract
Paramedics encounter a variety of medical cases in their work. A life--threatening condition in a patient with the advanced stage of a neoplastic disease requires the implementation of effective therapeuticdecisions. These decisions should be based on the correct assessment of clinical symptoms, the diagnosis of probable cause, and the implementation of appropriate treatment. The article discusses the most common emergency conditions in patients suffering from advanced cancer: dyspnea, pain, seizures, superior vena cava syndrome, the syndrome of increased intracranial pressure, and spinal cord compression syndrome.
