State and development prospects of international trade in services of Kharkiv region

Abstract
The development of international trade in services at both national and regional markets, increases the potential of foreign trade of the country, improves its image, and contributes to the development of domestic services market. Additionally, the international trade in services is essential to the balance of payments. Thus the purpose of the paper is the analysis and evaluation of international trade in services of Kharkiv region and determination of the prospects of its further development. The methodological basis of the research was the systematization in the study of characteristics of international trade in services, the comparisons and statistical methods in the study of the dynamics and trends of international trade in services of Kharkov region, prognostic and graphical methods in the design of recommendations and in the substantiation of the study. A result of research determined that the level of international trade in services Kharkiv region has improved considerably in recent years. In the context of globalization and the knowledge economy, international trade in services, such as financial, engineering, business management, has become increasingly important. It is advisable to continue to increase regional exports of services, giving priority to those segments of the market of services that have an impact on the development of a competitive economy.
