STATE DEBT AND ITS IMPACT ON THE SOCIAL SITUATION IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is to investigate the impact of state loans on social policy in the country, the impact of debt on the living standards of citizens, as taxpayers and those receiving social benefits from the state. Methodology of research. The basis of the study is a set of general and specific techniques and methods. Dialectical, formal and logical, system and structural methods that helped implementation of the conceptual unity of research are used in the article. The method of scientific abstractions and analogies for substantiation of categories and conceptual apparatus is used. Economic and statistical research methods, analysis and synthesis, generalization, induction and deduction, comparison and clustering, monitoring, techniques of secondary and relative values are applied. The graphical method for visual illustration of studied phenomena and processes is used. Finding. Research of the influence of the debt to the level of the tax burden, the impact of government debt on the level of social protection of citizens on living standards through growth or decline of economic indicators (minimum wages, level of income of citizens) are conducted. Originality. The effect of government borrowing on social policy in the country, the impact of debt on the living standards of citizens, taxpayers and those receiving social benefits from the state are determined in the article. Practical value. The obtained results of research promote to the increasing efficiency of public debt on social development of the country.
