THE PERSPECTIVES OF FINANCING THE EUROPEAN UNION OF DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the article is to disclosure of prospects for EU financing for development and introduction of technological innovations in Ukraine. Methodology of research. In the process of research, general scientific and special methods were used, in particular dialectical method and method of analysis and synthesis (for the study of the essence and patterns of technological innovation); comparative method, data aggregation methods (for research of approved programs funded by the EU); statistical analysis (for analyzing the place of Ukraine in the program "Horizon-2020" and the number of applications submitted by it at the international level). Also, in the process of research, a systematic approach was used to substantiate the regularities of the formation of a financial component, through which an innovative sphere is formed. The information basis of the research is the official reports and analytical publications of the leading international and Ukrainian economic organizations. Findings. It is determined that innovation is an important lever of economic activity regulation. It is revealed that due to innovative products, the state has a qualitative advantage on the international arena. It is established that the EU is actively developing programs aimed at financing the innovation sphere, including technological innovations. It is proved that Ukraine within the framework of this program occupies a non-conductive place, as the level of its support for technological development on the basis of universities is insufficient. Originality. The perspective directions of financing of the European Union’s technological innovations in Ukraine and the means of their implementation are determined. Practical value. The obtained results of the research confirm that with the help of the European programs for financing the development and implementation of technological innovations on the basis of higher educational institutions, Ukraine is able to attract foreign capital in order to increase the economic development of the state and the welfare of the population.
