State regulation of greenhouse gases emissions in the world: prospects for Ukraine
Journal Title: Проблеми загальної енергетики - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
Different approaches to the state regulation of greenhouse gases emissions that are used in the world are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of each approach in comparison with others are analyzed. The world experience in effective use of the carbon tax as one of the approaches to the state regulation of greenhouse gas emissions is reviewed. The current situation in Ukraine is analyzed, and recommendations for the effective application of the carbon tax in Ukraine are proposed. The approaches to the determination of carbon tax are developed.

Assessment of the expediency of introducing advanced nuclear reactors with regard for requirements to the reliability and ecological compatibility of the operation of Ukrainian UPS
We have identified priority areas for the development of Ukrainian nuclear power industry with using advanced nuclear reactors, taking into account the need for their use in maneuverable operating modes to ensure the sus...
Improving the mechanism of implementation of Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency by adapting international standards on energy management at the national level
The problem of energy conservation is one of the most important in Ukraine. It should be decided in view of the orientation of the country towards European integration, providing for compliance with the requirements of r...
Concept on the management of safety margins of nuclear power plants
At present, there exists only a single approach to decision making on the safety of NPP, based on a probabilistic estimate. Nevertheless, the safety of NPP is substantiated, as earlier, from deterministic positions. To r...
Determination of the optimal conditions of the work of a Venturi scrubber for gas cleaning from solid particles
We have established that one should search for the optimal conditions of particle catching in a polydisperse three-phase flow, which is realized in a Venturi scrubber, in a seven-dimensional space b, c, ugt, ui0, xst, L1...
The accounting specifics of limit forecasting periods based on the dynamic mathematic programming model for the development of nuclear power generation capacities in the atomic energy industry
A mathematic optimization model with integer-valued variable for the development of the national atomic energy sector is suggested. The model is capable of accounting limit forecasting periods, constraints on available i...
