Abstract
STATUS OF LOANWORDS FROM ROMANIAN IN THE BOTANICAL LEXICON OF UKRAINIAN SOUTH-BESSARABIAN SUBDIALECTS The paper reviews botanical names borrowed from Romanian. It determines the status of Romanian loanwords in the botanical lexicon in South-Bessarabian subdialects. The study reveals that 28,6 % of botanical loanwords in Ukrainian subdialects come from the Romanian language.
