Στοιχεία της φροϋδικής θεωρίας στο Βυζάντιο

Abstract
Τη βυζαντινή περίοδο, τα πρώιμα δείγματα της ψυχολογίας του βάθους, που εισάγονται από τον Πλάτωνα, εξελίσσονται και διαμορφώνονται συστηματικά. Αναγνωρίζεται το υποσυνείδητο και η σημασία της τραυματικής εμπειρίας. Στο βυζαντινό μοντέλο εμπεριέχεται τόσο η δομική όσο και η τοπογραφική θεωρία του Freud. Παρατηρείται επίσης η διαδικασία της απώθησης, της παλινδρόμησης, της μετουσίωσης και της μετατροπής. Το όνειρο θεωρείται διέξοδος του ασυνειδήτου. Τονίζεται η προς τα πίσω ανάλυση, για τη διαπίστωση των ψυχικών τραυμάτων και τη θεραπεία του ασθενούς.
