Strategi Pengembangan Sistem Temu Kembali Informasi Berbasis Gambar (Content Based Image Retrieval System) di Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Kedokteran

Abstract
The rapid development of science and technology makes libraries smarter in choosing the right technology to use in disseminating and rediscovering information. As we know that rapid technological developments lead to changes that occur in the way library users live in searching, storing and utilizing large, fast and global information today. The information currently available is not limited to text or sound, video, but also image. One technology that discusses the process of image retrieval based on the existing content in the image is the content base image retrieval (CBIR). Content Based Image Retrieval System (CBIR) is one system that takes pictures based on features such as color, texture, shape or even semantic meaning of images. With the CBIR will make it easier for users of medical college libraries to obtain information and understand the information about what it needs. Therefore, the medical college library should always strive to provide all its information resources to the user, including image-based referral sources such as human anatomy, photographic diseases, internal organs, medical devices, visual aids and others, other related to the world of medicine
