STRATEGY OF INFORMING IN FRENCH SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE

Abstract
The article deals with the investigation of strategy of informing in scientific discourse. Linguistic means of tactics’ realization of this strategy are studied in French scientific texts on international relations. It has been proved, that there are three types of information which serve grounds for trustworthiness of the message: epistemic objective, indirect mediated and information from other sources. Taking these types into consideration, strategy of informing is realized by the use of tactics which show the objective view on the subject and the subjective representation of events. Tactic of leading astray is possible, especially in mass media texts.
