Structural Analysis of Ladder Chassis Frame for Jeep Using Ansys
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 4
Abstract
Automotive chassis frame is an important part of an automobile. The automotive chassis frame is the structural backbone of any vehicle. The main function of chassis frame is to support the body, different parts of an automobile and topayload placed upon it.The chassis frame has to withstand the stresses developed as well as deformation occurs in it and to withstand the shock, twist vibration and other stresses. Its principle function is to carry the maximum load for all designed operating condition safelythat should be within a limit. On chassis, frame maximum shear stress and deflection under maximum load are important criteria for design andanalysis. In these projects, we havecalculated the von mises stress and shear stress for the chassis frame and the finite element analysis has been donefor the validation on the chassis frame model of jeep. We have taken certain material as Mild sheet steel, aluminium alloy and titanium alloy for the rectangular hollow box type to design chassis frame of jeep. Software used in this project, CATIA V5-[Product 1] for design purpose and ANSYS 14 is used for analysis.

A solution of one-dimensional dispersion phenomenon by Homotopy Analysis Method
The present paper discusses solution of dispersion phenomenon by using Homotopy analysis method. Solution represents concentrations of any contaminated or salt water disperse in homogenous porous media saturated wi...
A Route map for Detecting Sybil Attacks in Urban Vehicular Networks
Abstract: Security is important for many sensor network applications. A particularly harmful attack against sensor and ad hoc networks is known as the Sybil attack, where a node illegitimately claims multiple ident...
Impact of the Hydrographic Changing in the Open Drains Cross Sections on the Hydraulic Efficiency of Open Drains
Drained water is collected through 16000 km of open drains spread all over Egypt. Therefore, drains hydraulic problems lead to reduce their efficiency and ability to the free drainage of cultivated land. The work...
High Performance MAC Unit for FFT Implementation
In this paper we have proposed an efficient way of implementing a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processor using high performance pipelined Multiply and Accumulate (MAC) unit. The multiplication unit is implemented us...
Stress Analysis of Precast Prestressed Concrete Beams during Lifting
The use of long span prestressed beams in bridge construction is very common. Even if the sections are economical the erection of the beam still poses a challenge in construction. Not much work has been done in the analy...
