Structure of Comorbidity of the Hepatobiliary System in Newly Diagnosed Pulmonary Tuberculosis Depending on Sensitivity Spectrum
Journal Title: Актуальна інфектологія - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 9
Abstract
Introduction. Despite the reduction in the incidence of tuberculosis (TB), side effects of antituberculosis drugs limit the full chemotherapy. They very often develop in case of concomitant hepatobiliary lesions. Objective — a retrospective analysis of the prevalence of hepatobiliary diseases in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, depending on the resistance profile. Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis of 400 medical histories has been carried out in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who were hospitalized in Chernivtsi regional and municipal tuberculosis dispensaries in 2012–2015. Results. The retrospective analysis of case records of patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis showed that hepatobiliary pathology was diagnosed in 58 % of patients with TB. According to nosologies, the distribution is as follows: chronic non-calculous cholecystitis — 36.5 % of patients, diffuse changes in the liver — 27.8 % of patients with TB, chronic pancreatitis —22.3 % of patients. Conclusions. The lack of focus on comorbidity of the hepatobiliary system leads to adverse reactions to antituberculosis therapy, which subsequently may result in a temporary antituberculosis drugs withdrawal and further development of drug resistance.
