STRUCTURE, SOCIO-ECONOMIC MEANING AND DEVELOPMENT FACTORS OF THE TOURISM COMPLEX AT REGIONAL LEVEL

Abstract

The article systemized approach to defining the essence and structure of tourist and recreational facilities. It analyses methodological approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of tourist and recreational complex available in scientific literature and defines the main circumstances that stipulate the actuality of the formation and development of regional tourism and recreational complexes. The article considers main tasks to be solved in the formation of a recreational complex. Tourist and recreational complex of the region is a set of economic relations between its main participants in order to form supply and demand of tourist services. This is set of production and service sector, where investment resourses are directed to improve the economic and social efficiency, which is expressed in meeting needs in support of health and working ability of citizens. Researchers highlight a fairly large number of indicators by which one can assess the impact of tourists and recreational complex on socio-economic development of the area, but often this list is very large and unstructured, which negatively affects the efficiency evaluation. In our opinion, it is necessary to assess the impact of tourists and recreational complex on the socio-economic situation of the territory, taking into account the depth of the impact on the regional economy with separation on national and regional level. That is why the article deals with such groups of indicators as economic, financial, social and business activity indicators. The article also analyses factors affecting the formation and development of recreation, such as: general economic factors; demographic factors; factors that are at the stage of production; factors acting on the stage of consumption; factors influencing the relationship; factors that shape effective demand.
