STUDENT PERCEPTION ON IMPLEMENTATION OF SPECIAL STUDY PROGRAM STUDY ART EDUCATION IN FACULTY OF ARTS AND DESIGN UNIVERSITY NEGERI MAKASSAR

Abstract

This research is a survey research on students' perception toward the implementation of special study at Art Education Program of Faculty of Arts and Design of Universitas Negeri Makassar, conducted by data collecting technique by observation, documentation, questionnaire, and interview. The problems in this research are (1) the implementation of special study to the Student of Art Education Program of Faculty of Arts and Design of Universitas Negeri Makassar and (2) supporting factors and inhibiting the implementation of special study on the Student of Art Studies Program of Faculty of Art and Design of Makassar State University. The population of this study is a student of the class of 2013 who has conducted a special study on Art Studies Program Faculty of Arts and Design State University of Makassar with a total of 63 people consisting of 3 classes. The sample in this study using a random sampling technique, that is the number of samples in this research is determined by 30 students. The result of the research is known that 1) The implementation of special study guide to the students of Art Study Program of Faculty of Art and Design of Universitas Negeri Makassar is good enough, 2) Supporting factor of special study guidance, which is good lecturer's involvement which always give input, suggestion and free choice of themes and media in accordance with the ability of students, 3) Inhibiting factors in the implementation of special studies, require no small cost, the absence of special studio space for special study courses to make the consultation process becomes difficult and supervisors who sometimes difficult to find.
