Study of effectiveness of autologous fat graft (ear lobule) in closure of small tympanic membrane perforation

Abstract
Aims and Objectives: The study of effectiveness of fat graft (ear lobule) in closure of small tympanic membrane perforation. prospective cohort study 25 Patients with small dry central tympanic membrane perforation underwent fat myringoplasty. Follow up was done at 4weeks and 12 weeks with otoscopic examination and PTA for hearing assessment. Outcomes were measured in terms of perforation closure & graft uptake, hearing improvement. There was successful graft uptake & satisfactory hearing improvement Study design : Methods: Result: Conclusion: Small dry central tympanic membrane perforation can be closed with ear lobule fat graft without any complication with hearing improvement as an office procedure under local anaesthesia.
