Study of NCV of Motor Nerves in Diabetes

Abstract

Objectives: The present study was carried out to measure the NCV in diabetic and non diabetic persons. Material method: 90 subject were selected as the subject group, age group of the persons were selected was 20-60 years. NCV was carried out with evoked potential machine of standard company Nicolet. Results: a decrease in nerve conduction velocity with increase in Blood glucose level was observed. Conclusion: NCV was found statistically highly significant in peronealandtibial motor nerves of diabetic and non diabetic group of patients.
