Study on Inhibition effect of Mild Steel in Citric Acid Medium Using Natural Inhibitor
Journal Title: Maxene Journal of Chemical Science - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The effect of inhibition over the mild steel in citric acid medium was studied using Allamanda Blanchetii (AB). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization techniques were studied using this inhibitor. Inhibition was found to increase with increasing concentration of the AB. Many techniques have been described measuring and inhibiting influenced corrosion however none has been accepted as an industry standard. The results obtained show that the purple colour plant AB inhibits the mild steel material in an effective manner in Citric acid media.
