Study on the impact of co-solvent on selected properties of mixtures of diesel oil with bio-ethanol
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2011, Vol 65, Issue 6
Abstract
The article presents the results of the solubility of bio-ethanol in diesel fuel as well as the possibility of such mixtures stabilization by co-solvents. There has been shown effect of co-solvent on selected properties of diesel fuel blends with bio-ethanol. It has been stated that the kind of co-solvent influences the cetane number and the lubricity of mixture.

Barwniki azowe – aktywność biologiczna i strategie syntezy
Barwniki azowe stanowią najważniejszą i najliczniejszą grupę syntetycznych barwników o pełnej palecie barw. Związki te zawierają ugrupowanie –N=N– jako charakterystyczny chromofor, a otrzymuje się je głównie w reakcji di...
Thermal and mechanical properties of P(MAA -co-MMA)/PVP/MWNTs nanocomposites
Poly(methacrylic acid-co-methyl methacrylate) (P(MAA-co-MMA)) networks were prepared via free radical copolymerization in the presence of linear poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs),...
Influence of kind and concentration of emulsifiers from the group of polyethoxylated fatty acids sorbitol esters on the rheological properties of Crodamol PC-based nanoemulsions
The aim of this work was the preparation and rheological characterization of o/w nanoemulsions stabilized by polysorbates, containing Crodamol PC as the oil phase. The formulations were prepared by phase inversion compos...
One more function for microbial fuel cells in treating wastewater: producing high-quality water
A sustainable wastewater treatment technology should effectively reduce contaminant concentration, recovery energy contents and minimize liquid discharge. A potential candidate for such a technology is a microbial fuel c...
Methanol Synthesis from Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen over CuO/ZnO/ZrO2 promoted catalysts
It has been well documented that the CuO/ZnO/ZrO2 catalyst shows high activity in the methanol synthesis from CO2 and H2. The CuO/ZnO/ZrO2 based catalysts were obtained by decomposing the citrate complexes, by adding sma...
