Study on the Influence of Carbon on Standardized and Non-standardized Steel
Journal Title: Acta Marisiensis. Seria Technologica - Year 2019, Vol 16, Issue 1
Abstract
The way a piece or tool behaves in operation is determined by the quality of the material from which it is made, the precision of execution and heat treatment applied. In the present research, it is highlighted the differences that take shape after heat treating different materials (low carbon steel and high alloyed steel) including heating to dissimilar austenitic phases (880°C and 1020°C), holding for non-identical times, tempering at low temperature (260 °C) and then cooling by using separate cooling mediums (oil, air and water). The results show no noticeable increase in the hardness and mechanical properties for the low carbon steel after the heat treatment, but on the other hand, the high alloyed steel, reveals distinguishable changes in both hardness and mechanical properties. There is a close link between the structure, the parameters of the thermal processes and the properties that are desired so that future specialists have to assimilate the basic knowledge related to the phenomena that occur during a heat treatment but at the same time it is important to equip the companies with machines and measure devices, like a spectrometer.

Experiments of Controlers Tuning Based on Integral Criteria
For a system specified by the process, actuator and transducer, the obtaining of a certain operating regime (stationary and transient) is conditioned by the proper choice of a controller’s structure and the tuning parame...
The Complex Version of a Result for Real Iterative Functions
The purpose of this paper is to show a complex version for complex iterative functions of a result for real iterative functions and to give some applications for complex nonlinear equations.
Time Series Analysis Using Entropy Metrics
Entropy metrics are valuable tools for use in systems science and engineering. Both of domains are assumed to work with signals, to perform testing and evaluation tasks through specific signals. Entropy metrics indicate...
Existence of Positive Solutions for an Elastic Curved Beam Equation
This paper investigates the existence of positive solutions for a sixth-order differential equations. By using the Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem we give some new existence results.
Usage of Methyl Ester Produced from Waste Grape and MN Additive as Alternative Diesel Fuel
In this study, methyl ester was produced from waste grape pulp sources. The produced methyl ester was mixed with diesel in different proportions, and was tested for engine performance and emission. It was found that with...
