Studying the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance of Fars province through organizational learning and innovation variables

Abstract

Today, the environment of organizations is very competitive and global, and technology is constantly evolving. Companies need to comprehensive support for effective information that pays attention to staying competitive and challenging with new conditions and improving their performance. To this purpose, the goal of this study was to investigate the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance through the variables of organizational learning and innovation processes in the municipalities of Fars province. This research based on the goal is applied type and in terms of collecting data a descriptive-correlative type. The statistical population consisted of all managers, experts of Fars municipalities to the number of 435 people. Among them, using Cochran formula and cluster sampling method 283 persons were considered as samples. A standard questionnaire has been used to collect data which its validity and reliability are confirmed by the experts of the bank. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha method more than 0.7, which indicates the proper reliability of the research tool. The structural equation modeling has been used based on the partial least squares method to test the research hypotheses. The results show that transformational leadership influences organizational performance through learning and innovation in a positive way. And organizational learning also positively affects organizational performance either directly or indirectly through organizational innovation. Finally, organizational innovation positively affects organizational performance.
