SUBCUTANEOUS FAT NECROSIS OF NEWBORN WITH ASYMPTOMATIC HYPERCALCEMIA.

Abstract
A 9 day old male baby born of consanguinous marriage postmaturely by labour naturale was admitted for birth asphyxia and meconium aspiration in NICU for a week developed multiple erythematous nodules over the back, buttocks, thighs, arms and few plaques over the back over 2 days . Clinical examination and histopathological findings were consistent with the diagnosis of subcutaneous fat necrosis of newborn (SCFN) further supported by elevated serum calcium levels. This case is reported for its rarity.
