"SUBSTANCE-IN-RELATIONS" AS THE EXPLANATORY PRINCIPLE OF THE THEOLOGY OF COMMUNICATION

Journal Title: Молодий вчений - Year 2017, Vol 8, Issue 48

Abstract

The "substance-in-relations" principle is studied as one of the most methodologically important principles of theology of communication. The theological context of the use of the terms "substance" and "relations" is specified. It is substantiated that as a result of the relations, the substance does not lose anything, only saturates its own being, changing not substantively, but accidentally, crystallizing as "dynamical self-identity". Relations do not violate the integrity of the substance; on the contrary, they clarify its identity, giving rise to the following relations. The significance of this principle for the theology of communication is illustrated by the example of the ideas of I. Zizioulas, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and G. Zavershinsky.
