Substanţele care perturbă biosinteza hormonilor tiroidieni

Abstract
Perturbatorii endocrini sunt substanţe chimice de origine naturală sau sintetică ce modifică funcţiile endocrine determinând modificări metabolice grave, în special asupra nou-născuţilor. Acumularea şi persistenţa pe perioade lungi de timp a făcut să devină o prioritate în ceea ce priveşte sănătatea şi mediul înconjurător. Mecanismul de acţiune se caracterizează prin blocarea, mimarea sau chiar modificarea efectelor specifice hormonilor tiroidieni. În acest review, scopul principal a fost de a determina ce efecte au perturbatorii endocrini asupra glandei tiroide, în special asupra biosintezei hormonilor tiroidieni şi stabilirea etapei în care intervin. Au fost luaţi în considerare percloraţii, ftalaţii, DPBE, PCD, soia, izoflavonele, nitraţii, tiocianaţii, bisfenolii A şi triclorsan. Intervenţia acestora se poate solda fie cu apariţia hipertiroidismului fie cu apariţia hipotiroidismului.
