Abstract
D. Makhovsky. Modern trends in regional markets meat in Ukraine. The article shows the results of the meat market research in Ukraine. The main trends in the market of meat in general and in its individual segments have been determined and analyzed. The real and potential capacity of the markets for poultry, pork and beef in Ukraine has been studied. The most significant factors in the development of the market under investigation have been identified and analyzed. The market growth potential is calculated for a scientifically based consumption rate per person. The main structural changes in the supply and consumption fund for the types of meat that occurred during the period studied are highlighted. Economic estimation of net exports of the main types of meat in Ukraine was carried out. The main components of the balance of meat and meat products by individual species have been studied. Proposals and recommendations regarding the prospects for the development of the meat market in Ukraine and its individual segments in conditions of negative socio-economic processes that occurred in the state were presented and justified. Priority of the meat supply increase in Ukraine is determined as one of the main components of the price stabilization mechanism in the market and the prerequisites for the growth of net exports.
