Surgical Strike On Endodontic Pathogens
Journal Title: IDA Ludhiana's Journal - Le Dentistry - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Most common cause of root canal failure is inadequate irrigation and debridement. Long-term success of root canal treatment depends on cleaning and disinfection of root canal system. Almost 35% or more of the root canal surface remains untouched during biomechanical preparation. This article is an attempt to discuss various newer modalities like EndoVac, VATEA peristaltic irrigation pump, Max-I-probe, Ozone, Ultrasonic and Sonic irrigation system, etc. concerning effective and safer irrigation in endodontics.
