SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN TERMS OF REGIONAL MODERNIZATION: SELECTION OF INDICATORS

Abstract
The main methodological approaches to regional sustainable development indicators creation are considered in the paper. The existing systems of economic indicators of sustainable development at national and regional levels are analyzed. The research suggests the set of indicators of regional sustainable development selected from national level indicators of United Nations adapted to regional level and complemented by a set of indicators of technological and innovation development. The mentioned system of economic indicators of sustainable development id devoted to the estimation and monitoring of the sustainable development process taking into account modernization processes in the region and accessibility of official statistical data
