Abstract
The article presents findings of a comparative study of legal positions on trade union freedom in the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the Constitutional Court of Latvia and the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland. It outlines the main aspects of the legal regulation of the activities of trade unions, which were reviewed in the above-mentioned Constitutional Courts. The article emphasizes that the right of national trade union bodies to appeal to the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland concerning the compliance of acts of law with the Constitution, which is provided for in the legislation of Poland, considerably enlarges the possibilities of trade unions to protect their members’ labour rights.
