Artykuł jest próbą rozważań na temat syntezy teizmu i nauki, wiary i rozumu. W artykule problem syntezy jest opisany jako syndrom Pascala, ponieważ filozofia Pascala jest szczególnie reprezentatywna dla tego typu rozważań.
