SYNERGETIC PHASE TRANSITIONS IN THE WORKS OF A. P. CHEKHOV

Abstract

The author researches synergetic nonequilibrium transitions in the “human” system, which becomes open and nonlinear in an unstable time. The relevance of studying such transitions is that in the future such studies will allow to make analytical decisions that will enable to anticipate and predict the behavior of an open unstable system for a long period of time. Therefore, various fields of science are actively studying natural and technical phenomena that have been in a stable state for a long time, but undergo chaos under the influence of the environment. The essence of synergetic nonequilibrium transitions is in the fact that, under serious external influences, an open nonlinear system located at a critical point (at the point of bifurcation) loses stability and seeks to transition to a more ordered state. General conditions and phases of these transitions’ development are such: emergence of contradictions, and then powerful emotional response as a consequence of oscillatory processes, which reaches a critical pointand complete change in state. The work analyzes how these phases manifest themselves in behavior of the A. P. Chekhov’s characters, representatives of the society of the turn of the 10th-20th centuries, characterized with chaos and imbalance.
