SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF ANTIOXIDATIVE PROPERTIES OF SUBSTITUTED 10H-PHENOTHIAZINES WITH THEIR RIBOFURANOSIDES
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii din Bucuresti. Chimie - Year 2009, Vol 18, Issue 2
Abstract
A series of novel substituted 10H-Phenothiazines were synthesized via Smiles rearrangement using specific precursors. Synthesized Phenothiazines in form of heterocyclic base were then treated with appropriate sugar to yield ribofuranosides. The compounds were evaluated for their antiradical and antioxidative properties through in vitro and in vivo studies in Swiss albino mice. The structural assignment of compounds was made on the basis of spectroscopic data and elemental analysis

RETENTION MECHANISMS APPLIED IN SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION FOR SOME POLAR COMPOUNDS
Two basic mechanisms were applied for studying some polar compounds of pharmaceutical interest (captopril, atenolol, and metformin) by solid phase extraction, using an octadecilsilica based adsorbent. The retention of th...
SYNTHESIS, ANALGESIC AND ULCEROGENIC ACTIVITY OF NOVEL PYRIMIDINE DERIVATIVE OF COUMARIN MOIETY
A novel series of 3-(2-amino-6-pyrimidin-4-yl)-6-bromo-2H-chromen-2-one (5a-5j) were synthesized from 3-acetyl-6-bromo-2H-chromen-2-one (3). The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by I.R., 1H NMR, 13...
NEW ALGORITHM AND PROGRAM FOR SIMPLE EXTRACTION WITH MULTIPLE CONTACTS OPTIMIZATION
A mathematical algorithm and a Turbo Pascal computer program, allowing to perform some calculations for simple extraction with multiple contacts, using the Gibbs’s triangle and a new method of interpolation, simpler than...
AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR MINIMUM IGNITION ENERGY EVALUATION OF GASEOUS MIXTURE
The paper presents the issues highlighted by minimum ignition energy of gaseous explosive mixtures determination. As an alternative for minimum ignition energy evaluation a correlation model with the quenching distance,...
A DSC STUDY OF ΑLPHA AMINOBUTYRIC ACID GAMMA IRRADIATED
The behaviour on heating of irradiated with gamma rays and non-irradiated DL-α aminobutyric acid (DL-α AMB) was investigated comparatively, by means of differential scanning calorimetry. (DL-α AMB) decomposes before melt...
