System of water balance monitoring in the Tatra National Park

Abstract

The paper presents information regarding the system of water environment monitoring in the Tatra National Park. Work over its implementation began in 2003 and was resumed in 2009 with the "nancial support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. !e current water balance monitoring system consists of 21 established control points of water quality and 42 automatic hydrological centers measuring the level and temperature of water.
