Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Presenting as Knee Joint Effusion

Abstract
ABSTRACT Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, autoimmune, connective tissue disorder which has multi-organ involvement. Patient might rarely present with major joint sterile inflammatory effusion and evaluation of such patients for connective tissue disorders helps in the early diagnosis and treatment. We hereby, present the case of 35-year-old female with left knee joint effusion subsequently diagnosed to have SLE with lupus nephritis Class IIIa.
