TAFTA: THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS AND POTENTIAL RISKS OF AN “ECONOMIC NATO”

Abstract
The Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement is an EU-US Free Trade Agreement. The agreement envisages the mutual lib- eralization of trade in all areas, the convergence of trade-related regulation, and the deepening of cooperation between the EU and the US in various spheres of socio-economic life. The EU-US agreement will become one of the most enormous projects in the field of trade after the WTO. The main aspects of the EU-US Free Trade Agreement are analyzed in the article. The main questions that cause discussion are investigated. Possible potentials of GDP after TTIP are described. TAFTA is an agreement that can change the state of economic cooperation between the EU and the US.
