Abstract
The article concerns the issue of professional secrecy of an attorney-at-law in criminal proceedings. The author analyzes the applicable provisions of law and the practice of applying the law from the point of view of the regulations regarding the right to defense, originating from the Constitution and from the Act on attorneys-at-law. In conclusion, the author presents current threats resulting from excessive state interference in the sphere of lawyers’ rights connected with professional secrecy
