TEACHER’S GAME CULTURE

Abstract

The article analyses the current situation in adolescent education, in which a wider is takes place from game based education, and gamification. On this basis, the need for a teacher's game culture is emphasized as a condition for effective pedagogical interactions with students. This wide penetration introduction of games in educational as well as our research in the specialized literature suggest that the problem of the teacher's game culture is important in theoretical and practical terms. The purpose of this research is developing a conceptual model of the teacher's game culture as a fundamental factor for effective personal and educational interaction with the trainees. Conceptually, the term „teacher's game culture" can be made on the basis of the pedagogical interpretation of the terms "game" and "culture" through which to congregate conceptions fragmented in the various scientific fields and to outline a more pragmatic understanding of the essence of the children's game culture and the necessary work on its formation. In the context of the analysis of the notions of culture, a game presents a conceptual model of the teacher's game culture as a fundamental factor for effective personal and educational interaction with the trainees. Game culture manifests itself in the ability of the teacher about effective and compliant behaviour in game situations, aimed at constructing and recreating, by playing, different spheres of reality and their effective inclusion in the educational process.
