TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER: ESSENCE AND TRENDS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Purpose. The goal is a generalization of theoretical and methodical principles on the essence and approaches to assessment of technology transfer, research status, major issues and trends of development of these processes in terms of transformational changes in the economy of Ukraine in accordance with European integration priorities that will provide basis for more quality interaction of all elements of the innovation infrastructure and will promote the generation, production and commercialization of scientific and technical products, will determine the possibility of becoming an innovative model of economic development. Methodology of research. The theoretical basis of the research is scientific work of foreign and domestic scientists. In the process of research was used general scientific methods in the analysis of theoretical and methodological aspects of technology transfer processes, was made the summarizing of the views of foreign and domestic scientists on the definition of technology transfer and was made the foundation of groups of indicators of assessment the process of technology transfer at the national level. The logical method, methods of induction and deduction are used to bring the role of technology transfer as the basis of the relationship of elements of innovative infrastructure. Findings. Studied and generalized theoretical approaches to the definition of technology transfer. Definitions and approaches to assess the technology transfer were substantiated. The state of technology transfer in Ukraine was analyzed. The main problems and ways of development of processes of technology transfer were determined. Originality of the results of the research is in improving the essence of technology transfer and in development approaches to assessment of the technology transfer that will provide early detection of problems of interrelation elements of innovation infrastructure and will provide opportunities for regulating effect for solving them. Practical value. The research results is that the resulting interpretation and determining performance evaluation of the technology transfer will allow in practice to perform research of level of the interrelation of elements of innovative infrastructure and a place of process of technology transfer in it, and to create a basis for further methodological improvements and implementation.
