Temperament and anxiety levels in employees of the Municipality of El Tambo in times of Covid-19, 2022

Abstract
Introduction: Temperament predisposes our way of thinking, feeling and acting in the face of sudden changes in the environment, such as the impact of Covid-19, in such a way that temperament can be associated with clinical pictures of anxiety in collaborators of public entities, who were exposed to at greater risk of contagion and death. Objective: The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between temperament and anxiety levels in employees. Method: 251 employees between the ages of 18 and 68 (Md=40) participated in the study, who worked exposed to covid-19 in administrative and operational areas. The percentage of men is 56% (n=141) and 44% of women (n=110). Participants responded to the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Results: The Chi square test indicates that the P value = 0.000 < α = 0.05. An association was found between temperament and anxiety levels, finding similar results between sanguine, choleric and melancholic temperaments, with the exception of phlegmatic. Conclusion: This research found that there is an association between temperament and anxiety levels in employees exposed to a biological risk such as Covid-19
