Abstract
The article considers the problem of competitiveness which is an important landmark development not only in developed but also in countries with economies in transition. This is due to what is happening in the world economy changes caused by integration processes, liberalization of markets, the acceleration of scientific and technological development. As a consequence, the deepening of international competition, changing the position of certain countries, there is a change of leaders. On the one hand, the competitiveness of the national economy determines its position in the system of foreign economic relations, on the other – is the guarantor of its economic security.
