ТЕОРІЯ І ПРАКТИКА РЕАЛІЗАЦІЇ КОНЦЕПЦІЇ КОНТЕКСТУАЛІЗОВАНОГО НАВЧАННЯ В МЕДИЧНІЙ ОСВІТІ ФРАНЦІЇ

Abstract

The complexity of medical professionals’ activities requires a comprehensive competencebasedand person centredapproach to their training with a particular emphasis on self- motivation enhancement.The review of Western scholars’ studieshas revealed the theoretical background of the contextual teaching and learning effectiveness in the development of main physician’s competencies. At French medical departments this approach is implemented mostly in forms of problem based learning, comprehension of situation,and development of clinical thinking. The highest efficiency of theseteaching techniquesis achieved with such curriculum, when teaching units from subject disciplines are fused together around ameaningful organising theme/concept such as body systems or communitymedicine, which includes horizontal and vertical integration.
