Abstract
In the article are presented views of domesticand foreign researchers concerning such concepts as “community”, “territorial community” in terms of political-legal, sociological and social-pedagogical approaches. Revealed meaning, characteristic features, features of effective functioning of a territorial community. Defined main subjects of social orphan hood prevention in terms of a territorial community of a city.
