TERRITORIAL VISTAS OF THE COSSACK ELITE OF THE HETMANATE IN THE 2ND HALF OF THE 17TH CENTURY (BASED ON DVORECKY FAMILY)

Abstract
Territorial vistas of the Cossack elite of the Hetmanate based on the Dvorecky family were investigated. For those the handwritten chronicle “Litopysec” created by Dvorecky family representatives in the 2nd part of the 17th century was studied. Lex-ics about territory/space used in the text was analyzed and complained to the political tradition of the Hetmanate. It was noted that the Author of the “Litopysec” used conventional concepts and extrapolated their definitions on the previous decades. He had defined the Ukraine as the Hetmanate territory while avoiding the term of “the Little Russia”, and mentioned the concept of “the disintegrated Ukraine”.
