TETRALOGY «ON THE HORSE AND UNDER THE HORSE» BY A. DIMAROV: UNIQNESS OF ARTISTIC PALETTE

Abstract
The article analyses funny and optimistic, splendid both in form and plot pieces of writing by Anantolit Dimarov from his literary cycle devoted to children, which is popular not only in Ukraine, but far beyond its borders. It seems logical that tetralogy «On the horse and under the horse» of such a prominent writer, the wizard of a Ukrainian word, is worth studying in a special way. The researcher’s attention concentrates on finding out peculiarities of the author’s creative thinking, defining the style, studying key elements of genre and composition, investigating forms of psychologism (extrovert and introvert). The value of the writer’s literary heritage is rooted in critical and realistic depiction of Soviet time and present day, in depicting spiritual wealth of people, uncompromising attitude of people to injustice and humiliation of human dignity under conditions of the totalitarian society. Fragmentary composition of the piece of writing under discussion — «On the horse and under the horse» — complies with the impressionist style of the writer and serves to depict the process of coming of age and becoming a personality for the character with autobiographic traits. The writer chose the brightest episodes and the most characteristic events of his real life, rethought them artistically and used as a material for his peace of writing. Those moments and images that the writer remembers the most vividly he depicts not only sincerely, whole-heartedly and with great sense of humour, but also aesthetically immaculate. Adventures in the tetralogy follow in close succession and personalities of main characters unfold through these adventures. Memory in this story is the magical bridge, connecting the author and the character in the environment of the epoch. The subject matter of a peculiar research, conducted by the writer in his book, is a human soul, its state and activity under these or those circumstances. The author managed to use his reach reserve of observations, reflections and impressions. To create realistic, impressive characters the author used such methods as dialogue, stream of consciousness, psychological portrait, actions and behavior motivation, which all work to create a comprehensive picture of the characters inner world.
