Text Study on the Chapter of Turks in History of Zhou

Abstract
First and the most important accounts about the ancient Turks are found in the Chinese records.. The whole of the histories of the Chinese dynasties is consisted of a number of parts. In the parts which are classified as Huns, Turks, Uyghurs etc., information can be found about different Turkic groups’ political, socio-economic lives, traditions, their relations with the Chinese and other peoples, their strengths and weaknesses. In the 50th chapter of this history there is a sub chapter called as the “Turks”, where detailed information about the origins of the Turks, Turkish traditions, the establishment of the first Turkish Khaganate and their relations with China and the first Turkish Khagan are available. In this study, I have tried to find out the missing and different sides of the information provided in the histories by not only translating the original Chinese source but also by facilitating the use of other histories of dynasties and encyclopedias and their translations into different languages.
